Born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago, Chris Martin has been working in the legal field for close to a decade. While still attending school at the University of Illinois at Chicago, Chris began his legal career as a law clerk working at a small firm practicing criminal defense and personal injury. It is here where Chris began his career in the legal field, working from the ground up. Upon graduation, he decided to continue working while also preparing for the LSAT. It was during this time that Chris interned and clerked at various firms within the city, gaining experience in everything from workers' compensation to entrepreneurial law, networking and learning as much as he could before attending law school.
After working for two years, Chris began attending Chicago Kent College of Law. It was here that Chris continued to network and create long last friendships that he has maintained over the years. While at Chicago Kent, Chris acted as both the Vice President and Student Outreach coordinator of the Chicago Kent Corporate Law Society. While not in class and networking through school, Chris worked at a boutique law firm under the tutelage of the finest commercial law litigators until the pandemic changed his career path. It was then that Chris changed his focus and began working at a firm where he gained experience in business and commercial real estate litigation.
Upon graduation and passing the bar, Chris worked in the corporate law department of a firm specializing in tax, cryptocurrency, and corporate governance. After gaining the necessary experience, Chris decided to leave and start his own office where clients, employees, and third parties are treated with respect and dignity. In early 2023, Chris was then accepted into his alma mater’s Solo and Small Practice Incubator Program. Through this program, Chris has gained an additional network full of colleagues to lean on when additional knowledge is beneficial to clients as well as supplementary resources to provide for the most optimal and efficient outcomes.
Chris’s goals for the future are to see the office grow, expand, and offer additional services, all while assisting clients’ growth! At our office, integrity will always come first.
